UBH Structures are a structural engineering firm carrying out work across London and Surrey. With extensive experience in the residential sector, we specialise in new-build developments, refurbishments, loft conversions and extensions. We also undertake work across the commercial and retail sectors.

Services
Design
We provide full structural design packages including construction drawings, relevant structural specifications and a set of clear, concise hand calculations for Building Regulations approval. With previous experience working as both consultants and contractors we can help streamline the project from the pre-construction stage through to final completion, with emphasis firmly on transparent communication with all parties involved.
Party wall
Assisting clients with party wall matters is a big part of what we do. We often liaise with party wall surveyors and aim to make this process run as smooth and as efficiently as possible to avoid long delays on projects. We appreciate these issues can be time sensitive and require prompt responses to deal with queries posed by adjacent owners and surveyors. Being a small practice lends itself well to these situations and rest assured your project will be dealt with swiftly and professionally.
Build over agreements
This is a legal requirement when building over or near public drains. If you’re looking to construct a rear extension, you will most likely have to apply for a build over agreement, as any drains which flow to/from your neighbours are considered to be public drains. The application involves detailing how the drains will be protected from the loadings imposed by the new structures and to ensure that access is available for any future maintenance. We offer services to complete and submit this application on your behalf, in addition to dealing with all correspondence.
